| Breif: |
Role Purpose:
• Supervise the Maintenance of related Protection & Metering Section equipments.
• Prepare and supervise implementation of Protection & Metering Section policies and procedures.
• Implementation and supervise implementation of OETC Electrical Safety Rules.
• Ensure continuous availability of the system, safe operations, timely maintenance, and quick restoration of any outages.
• Ensure safe, secure, reliable, economic and effective operation and maintenance of the Protection & Metering Section functions.
• Assist Protection & Metering Section in Preparation of Protection & Metering Section Budget & Price control
• Assist in preparation of tender documents for all Protection & Metering functions.
• Assist in Preparation of annual maintenance schedule.
• Support other OETC department in the collection, analysis and reporting of System Operations’ performance and status data related to Protection & Metering functions.
• Provide technical support related to Protection & Metering functions to the Load Dispatch Center and Strategic Planning and Projects departments.
• Represent the company with other OETC members, in negotiations, conferences and meetings.
• Assist in ensuring that necessary spares, tools, documents and expertise are available to carry out the Protection & Metering functions effectively
• Assist in maintaining an up-to-date Central Log for Protection & Metering functions for OETC and all connected parties for existing system as well as new projects
• Assist in documenting and implementing procedures of all Protection & Metering functions, trouble shooting techniques and regular maintenance
• Assist in analyzing of various incidents, review the performance of Protection & Metering functions in those cases and implement necessary corrective measures
• Ensure protective relays function promptly at the time of fault conditions with proper co-ordination.
• Assist in commissioning of new projects equipments
• Checking the relays setting calculations for new Projects.
• Issue, cancel and receive safety documents: PTW, LOA and SFT.

| Requirements: |

• Degree in Electrical/Power Engineering
• 10 years experience in Protection and Metering system of 220 kV and 132 kV system.
• High level of Safety knowledge.
